No. Oklahoma is one of the few states without a fixed list of qualifying conditions, which is why the program is so accessible. Your OMMA-registered physician decides — based on your medical history and current health — whether cannabis is a reasonable treatment option for you.
Common reasons patients seek a card include chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, depression, severe nausea, muscle spasticity, migraines, and side effects from cancer treatment, but the list is not exclusive.
Yes. Oklahoma law allows the entire medical marijuana evaluation to happen via telemedicine, and SB 1066 did not change that. Your appointment with us takes place over a secure video call from your phone, tablet, or computer — no in-person visit required.
The full process typically takes 1 to 3 weeks. Your doctor visit takes about 15 minutes, and your signed recommendation arrives by email or text just 10–15 minutes after your appointment ends. OMMA then takes up to 14 business days to process your application, though many patients are approved in 7 to 10. Once you receive the OMMA approval email, you can shop at dispensaries immediately.
You get a full refund. We only charge for evaluations that result in an approval. If our physician determines that medical cannabis isn't appropriate for your situation, your $129 is refunded — no questions asked.
For your doctor visit with us, you only need:
When you submit your full application through the OMMA portal, you'll also upload a digital passport-style photo (plain background, no glasses, no hats) and the signed Physician Recommendation Form we provide after your appointment. Proof of residency is optional in many cases — your Oklahoma photo ID is generally enough.
The passport-style photo. OMMA is strict: plain pale background, no glasses, no hats, clear visibility of your head and shoulders. The second most common rejection cause in 2026 is submitting a recommendation from an unregistered physician under SB 1066 — which is why we only work with fully registered doctors.
Yes. Licensed Oklahoma medical marijuana patients can cultivate up to 6 mature plants and 6 seedlings at their private residence. The plants must not be visible from public view, and home cultivation is only legal while your card remains active.
With an active OMMA card you can possess up to 3 ounces on your person, 8 ounces at home, 1 ounce of concentrate, and 72 ounces of edible products. You may also possess up to 72 ounces from your own home-grown plants.
Yes. Your telemedicine visit is protected by HIPAA — the same federal medical privacy law that applies to any other doctor visit. Your visit details are not shared with employers, law enforcement, or any third party.
Not as of January 1, 2026. Under SB 1066, any recommendation written by an unregistered physician on or after that date will be rejected by OMMA, and the $104.30 state fee is non-refundable. You'd need to get a new recommendation from a registered doctor and resubmit. Every physician at Oklahoma Cannabis Card is fully registered and SB 1066 compliant.
All legal protections vanish the moment your card lapses. Possession becomes a criminal offense, dispensaries can no longer sell to you, your home grow becomes illegal, and any workplace protections disappear. Start the renewal process at least 30 days before your card expires. If you submit your renewal before expiration, your current card stays active during processing — no gap in coverage.
Same-day appointments. OMMA-registered physicians. 24-hour recommendation delivery. Full refund if you're not approved. That's it.
